Ballantyne Golf Course was the creation of renowned golf
architect Rees Jones who designed a course that could be enjoyed by
golfers of all handicaps. This par 72 course measures 7034 yards for
the tips and has 6 tee boxes with yardage that goes from the 7034
yards for the gold tee boxes to a short 2380 yards for the children.
The red, white and blue tees measures 5222, 6243 and 6711 yards,
respectively. Six of the holes play over water with a large stream
that comes into play on the par 5, 510 yard eleventh hole.

Ballantyne Country Club
offers some of the finest amenities to its members found in the area.
According to the brochure provided by the club, “the clubhouse
features fine dining, a mixed grill, a casual grill, dining veranda
and porches, lounge, private dining, men’s and woman’s locker rooms
and lounges and the golf pro shop”.
The club
also offers a swim and tennis center which house a tennis pro shop, a
fitness room, aerobics facility, baby sitting room, a two-story Teen
Center and a snack bar.
The
swimming facilities complex include 5 pools which include a Junior
Olympic lap pool, slide pool complete with a 16-foot high figure-eight
waterslide. There is also a play pool with interactive play equipment;
a tot pool; a play puddle designed especially for toddlers.

Piper Glen Country Club

Built in 1989 this TPC Course, a par 72,
which measures 6850 yards from the championship tee box, was designed
by legendary player and golf course designer, Arnold Palmer. The
course, which has hosted several Senior PGA tournaments, offers the

What is a Tournament Players
Club?
Tournament Players
Clubs are owned and/or managed by entities affiliated with the PGA
TOUR and its subsidiary, PGA TOUR Golf Properties, Inc. Tournament
Players Clubs form a network of outstanding Championship Golf Courses
throughout the country. TPC typically host a PGA TOUR or Senior PGA
TOUR event.
What are the
benefits of a Tournament Players Club at Piper Glen being privately
owned and professionally managed?
As a private
non-equity club, Members are not subject to capital or operating
assessments which are frequently incurred in member owned clubs.
Through professional management, the Members are not subject to
fluctuating policy and directions sometimes caused by the periodic
election of a new board in a typical private club. The Club utilizes
periodic member surveys to help guide its policies and programs. In
addition, management has an open door policy, and will work with a
Member Advisory Committee appointed by the management.
What is
Stadium Golf?
Stadium golf is basically
a design technique used throughout the golf course, whereby mounds and
terracing are utilized to create a stadium effect so that more people
may view the action on the course, not unlike a football or baseball
game. The effect has been to optimize spectator enjoyment of
tournaments and, consequently, increase tournament attendance.
Who is
eligible for membership?
Membership is offered by
invitation. It is the Club’s goal to create a membership that has
varied interests and business pursuits. The Club has a strict policy
of non-discrimination. Members will be considered regardless of sex,
race, color, creed, age, or national origin. The sponsorship
information, you are encouraged to contact the membership Office.
Can I sell or
transfer my membership?
Memberships are not
salable. Certain personal membership classifications do provide for a
one-time transfer to a member’s spouse or adult child (age 23 or
older). Of course, corporate memberships provide for an annual
transfer to designee to an officer, director, or employee of the
company without the payment of any additional fees.
What are the
privileges of membership?
Members have access to all
of the golf and clubhouse facilities available. Members are not
required to pay for green fees for access to the golf course, but are
required to pay cart fees. Corporate and Charter Members have a 30-day
advance priority to reserve starting times. Regular Members have a
14-day advanced priority to reserve available starting times and
Junior Members have a 10 day priority. All Members will have access to
the TPC network and may bring guests to the Tournament Players Club At
Piper Glen. Guest usage is subject to rules and regulations of the
Club. The use of Membership bringing and sending privileges for
personal profits is strictly prohibited.
